A giant robotic spider came to Yokohama on Friday, April 16, for a 5-month festival commemorating the 150th anniversary of the opening of the city’s port. The spiders came from France where they were built my steampunk performance art group La Machine. Check out this awesome video of the arachno-fest performance when one of the 12-meter (40-ft) tall, 37-ton mechanical spiders moved its mechanical legs, shot steam and water, while fire, fog machines, lights and music added to the spectacle.
